Get
Lost Adventures specializes in two types of rock climbing
programs: Fun at the Rocks and Instruction
Courses
To reserve your own dates for yourself or your
group call us at 909-939-0309. We can take your group to many
California locations.
Fun at the Rock: This program is one or more days of
climbing for just that, FUN! It is designed to let the participant
relax and have a good time learning how to rock climb. Depending
on the size of your group we will set up multiple climbs to
accommodate different skill levels from beginner to intermediate.
All climbing equipment is provided. Recommended for beginners
who are just starting out and would like to get a feel for
the rock. This is also great for groups that want lots of
involvement and a good time such as scout troops, YMCA, day
camps, youth groups, or just a bunch of friends! Check below
for dates and locations of upcoming planned trips. Groups
may reserve a "Fun at the Rock" day for themselves
as well.
Dates: Throughout 2008 Costs: $100 per person ($75 per person with
11 or more participants)
Instruction
Courses: These programs are much more intense with long
days focused on learning from the ground up. We cover everything
you need to know for safely venturing out on your own in the
top-rope environment. This includes equipment uses and practices,
belaying, anchoring, gear placement, and more. This is recommended
for those looking to spend more time on the rock. The smaller
the class, the better. So try to reserve your groups at 10
participants and under. This class is a full six hour day
"plus" time for lunch and is still not enough time
for those really looking to hone in on your personal anchoring
skills.
Rock 1 (ANCHORING): This class revisits
the skills and practices covered in Fun at the Rocks and adds
anchoring techniques and gear placement. Ever wonder what all
those crazy acronyms like D.R.A.P.E.S. and S.E.R.E.N.E. mean?
The second half of the day is dedicated to practicing your new
anchoring skills and putting these techniques to use.
Dates: Throughout 2008 Costs: $175 per person ($150 per person with
4 or more participants)
Recommendations:
Get Lost Adventures realizes the time constraints with today's
busy world. Therefore, we suggest trying to book multiple
days back-to-back. You save the time of rescheduling the follow
up class. Our Backpacking courses may also be combined with
our Climbing programs to make a three-day weekend of adventure
to remember!
Climbing Equipment: All climbing equipment needed is
provided for "Fun at the Rocks". However, if you are
already a rock climber, you will probably want to use your own
gear which is fine once one of our instructors have inspected
it.
The Safety of All: Your safety is our number one concern.
All our staff are CPR and First Aid Certified and trained to
handle incidents that may arise.
