1st day - Arrive in Costa Rica
The first day we arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica - the land of beautiful tropics, wild jungles and amazing adventure! From this point we travel to Turrialba, the extreme sports capital of Central America. Turrialba is a quaint mountain community surrounded by sugarcane, citrus, and macadamia plantations. From here we stay at Hotel Turrialtico with it's vast views of the valley below. We will be holding our first night's briefing here. |

|
2nd day - Canyoning and Rock Climbing
Wake up to the sunrise over Turrialba and get ready a day of adventure! After breakfast we travel to the privately owned canyoning site. Canyoning is beginning to gain popularity in the world. With skills and equipment borrowed from the basic concepts of Rock Climbing, Canyoning uses the natural settings of canyons. Our canyoning guides are experts and have many options to accommodate all physical levels and abilities. The course incorporates rappelling over many waterfalls and traveling across the canyons by way of zip lines suspended over 50 feet in the air!
After lunch in the town center, we journey to our Rock Climbing site just outside of town. The Rock Climbing activity is optional, but definitely recommended. The rocks in the area are beautiful and our climbing guides are great at helping participants in the vertical world.
Our evening is spent at Hotel Turrialtico for one last night. |
|
3rd day - White Water Rafting and Volcano Hot Springs
From Turrialba we venture to the Pacuare River. The Pacuare River is rated one of the top ten white water rafting spots in the entire world. With soaring canyons full of tropical flora and fauna, you may spot toucans flying overhead. Our guides start the day with a safety speech and begin rafting from the Tres Equis' put in. After venturing through some of the thrilling rapids, we stop to explore some of the beautiful waterfalls located in the hidden canyons.
Halfway through the day you will reach a camp, where we provide a delicious lunch and a "happy hour" where you and others can share some of the day's adventures while sipping refreshing drinks and having a delicious lunch.
After lunch, you will continue rafting down the river, enjoying the last of the rapids and the scenic views. The trip ends at the bridge in the town of Siquirres. After exiting the river, the guides will lead you to a small café with changing rooms, a shower and a drink.
In the afternoon we travel to the active volcano Arenal. We spend the evening here with a relaxing soak in hot springs heated from the volcano. |
|
4th day - Boat Adventure to Monteverde Cloud Forest and Canopy Tour
Day 4 starts off with a boat ride across Lake Arenal to the Cloud Forest of Monteverde. Monteverde sits atop a plateau at 3500 feet above sea level. The area has become known as one of the most gorgeous forests in Central America. Birders and hikers alike fall in love with this natural wonder. The afternoon includes an adventure of "pathways" across suspension bridges at the top of the trees. This birds eye view bring us to discoveries only in dreams.
Our night is spent in the town of Santa Elena. |
